The Arne Backstrom Memorial Fund Mountain Bike Ride happened September 26th in Incline Village at the Village Ski Loft.  Around 50 or so of Arne's close friends and family assembled in the morning in Incline, and rode the Rim Trail or Flume Trail to Chimney Beach, which was one of Arne's favorite rides.  The purpose...

was to have a good time with friends, celebrate Arne and his life, and to raise money to help get kids outdoors and to educate them about the outdoors/environment.  It was indeed a success!  A good time was had by all, and some funds were raised.  Thanks to all the sponsors and to Ben Fresco of the Village Ski Loft, Clem Smith of Tecnica Blizzard, photographer Grant Kaye, and to all the riders!
