Ralph Backstrom

An up-and-comer in the big mountain world, Ralph Backstrom, takes on every contest and new adventure with unrivaled zeal. Ralph has hit the gates for X Games boardercross in Aspen and the Mt. Baker Banked Slalom, near his alma mater Western Washington University, as well as participated in the Verbier Xtremes, The North Face Masters of Snowboarding series, and the World Heli Challenge in New Zealand. The now Squaw Valley resident is balancing the filming and photography scene with the big mountain snowboard competition scene.
